No Regrets

Just for you, be encouraged today.  Here’s the truth, in some way you make someone else’s life better just by being you.  Life is short, life is fragile, feelings are everywhere so handle with care.  Why do we wait for a funeral to say nice things about the ones we love and care for?  Wouldn’t it be better to say nice things to our loved ones and brothers and sisters in Christ and our friends and even strangers while they’re still with us?  I don’t know about you, but I really don’t want to live with regrets on my death bed.  I don’t want to say, “I wish I’d told my spouse and my children and my family and my brothers and sisters in Christ and my friends, how much I love them and appreciate them.”  We have a culture in Australia where it’s called “sucking up” but what would happen if we had a culture in Australia called “Building up?”
Truth is, we have the capacity to tear down and the capacity to build up

Would that be a game changer?  Would our marriages become stronger?  Would our relationships go deeper?  Would our children feel loved even more?  Would the kind word we shared with someone prevent them from committing suicide?  Would the person going through a hard time start to have hope again?  Would the person battling depression start to smile again?  Could the words we speak give a little comfort to those who are lost or lonely?

Truth is, we have the capacity to tear down and the capacity to build up, it’s up to us which one we use.  Imagine a world where people are gentle, kind and loving, sincere,  compassionate, honest and faithful!  Ok, if you can imagine that now let’s go and build it!  God’s Word says it better than I can in 1st Thessalonians 5:11.  He said, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just in fact as you are doing.”  There is a world changer on the inside of you and you need to let him out.  Who can you build up today with a kind and loving word?  Be brave! Look for the opportunity to encourage someone today.  You won’t regret it.

God bless you heaps
